In my view he is THE greatest actor of his generation.
As Moran put it in her brilliant article, he just disappears in his role. That itself is such a gift, and rarely do you find actors who do it so well. Sure, the facial similarities are there, and maybe the hair’s recognizable apart from a different tinge of color. But he just immerses himself in the character and becomes it.
